Andy May, President & Founder
Andy is a lifetime resident of Atlanta, having graduated from St. Pius
High School in 1974. He went on to graduate from Georgia State with
a BBA in Finance in 1980. After several years working as an independent
contractor, Andy joined Hill Properties in 1983 as Vice President of
Construction, where he oversaw $25 million of building
construction.
Family life has always been a source of pride for Andy, which
is immediately evident upon meeting his wife Kerry or any of his
four children: Amy, Jimmy, Mary Jane or Grace. He has been a consistent
aide at his children’s schools and church, and he can frequently
be found on a local baseball diamond, as he has been a community
baseball coach for years.
Mark Moeller, Vice President
The Moeller family moved to Atlanta from Ohio in 1969 when Mark was in grade
school, and nobody has left since. He graduated from Peachtree High School
in 1980, and, after two years at Notre Dame in the school of architecture,
graduated from Georgia Tech in 1985 with a management degree. Mark joined
Hill Properties fresh out of college, where he served as Marketing Director,
and where he first met Andy May.
Mark married his next door neighbor, Patsy, in 1989 and they are
busy raising their children Annie and Bernie. Mark is an active
member of his church, sits on the board of two non-profit agencies,
and, he too, has been fond of coaching youth basketball for many
years.
Dwayne Purcell, Treasurer & Registered
Architect
Dwayne also came to Atlanta from Ohio, but not until he had
graduated from Springfield Central High School in 1979, and then
Kent State University in 1983. Dwayne received his degree in
architecture, and he spent several years working in Cleveland
before coming to Wakefield Beasley in Atlanta as Chief Design
Architect in 1996. Dwayne met Andy and Mark when he was the lead
architect on a corporate headquarters built by May Construction
in 1998, and the three have been together ever since.
The Purcells, Dwayne
and Julie, have
two lovely daughters,
Whitney and Nikki,
and a son, Josh.
Dwayne has been
a visible member
of his church, serving
as lead consultant
on an Eastern European
mission project,
and he has been
an active youth
baseball coach as
well.
